worseforfearsStrange how we know each other: These are the people Becky's let in past her normal defenses and walls. These people, she'll actually talk about work with, maybe, if she feels up to it. How much it hurts to see people kill themselves, be killed by others. These are the people she'll go to for distraction, even if she doesn't want to tell them why. She trusts them, cares about them, and probably looks up to them - she sees them, most likely, as being so much stronger than she is. [brandedfirst - Brando, nowherexboy - Descant, OPEN]
The ghosts in the attic they never quite leave: These are people from Becky's past. Her mother knew, before she left home, that she was an angel, but they didn't tell anyone, and less than a week later, when Becky realized what she was, she left without a word, leaving a note that said only that she had to leave. These people knew Becky, knew that she disappeared when she was 16, and have no idea of her true nature. She'll do anything to keep it from them, to keep them from sticking around. A gentle warmth filling the deepest of needs: Becky doesn't know much about her father, her mother never said much about him. All she knows is that he was an angel and that he left town before she was born. Since her mother never offered any additional information, she always assumed that he was some asshole who split town before he had to deal with the added responsibility of a child. She could, of course, be wrong, and that would throw her whole world for a loop. [bloodsoulrhythm - Charlie]
Instruments that play the music of life: Becky loves her music, and she's probably happiest when she can play, write, collaborate without anything distracting her. It's hard to do, these days, but when she can manage, you'll see her look the happiest you ever will. These people are those who can work with her, play with her, help her fulfill that need for music in her soul. [deathbytoast - Toast, MULTIPLE OPENINGS]
The sacred simplicity of you at my side: Becky has changed a lot in the basement. And there are certain people who, despite her best efforts, have wormed their way into her heart enough that she would do anything - literally anything - to keep them safe and happy. They are the people she turns to when she's scared or hurting, and the people she'd go to any extremes for. She'd Fall to keep them safe, if she had to. Like a phoenix you rise from the ashes: These people are the ones whose deaths Becky sees. Murders and suicides, mostly - unnatural deaths. It doesn't matter who they are, what they're like - she will love them, at the end. She will feel their pain, she will cry for them, she will show them how to move on. And yes, they will die, she can't stop that, but at least she'll be there to comfort them when they do. [rbodyguard - Ricky, MULTIPLE OPENINGS]
I've got darkness and fears to appease: This is the person who'll be so so able to break Becky. It would be so easy. But they don't. A demon, going against the grain and caring about an angel - and Becky cares back. She'll do anything to keep this person safe, especially now, and in return, this person wants to keep her safe as well. And they may or may not be a little bit in love. [ourowndragons - Annie]
